About the brand
Founded in July 2015 and based in Houston, Swyft Filings says it has formed more than 600,000 businesses across all 50 states and Washington, D.C. It files the widest range of entity types on this chart: LLCs, S corps, C corps, nonprofits and DBAs, with attorney-crafted documents in the paid packages. Premium adds same-day processing and a professional business address, which makes it one of the more workable routes for founders based outside the United States.

Our Verdict
Swyft Filings files more entity types than anything else on this chart and moves faster at the top tier, with same-day processing available on Premium. If you are forming a nonprofit, a C corp or a DBA rather than a plain LLC, it is the shortlist. The reason it sits fourth rather than first is a single line on its registered agent page that almost every other review of this service gets wrong.
Key Takeaways
- Basic is $0 plus state fees with no renewal, but takes 7 to 10 business days.
- Standard is $169 and Premium $269 plus state fees, both discounted from $199 and $299.
- Registered agent is billed quarterly at $149, which works out at about $596 a year, not $149 as widely reported.
- It files five entity types, LLC, S corp, C corp, nonprofit and DBA, the widest range here.
- Over three years the cheapest plan plus registered agent runs about $1,788, against $289 at Northwest.
The company has formed more than 600,000 businesses since July 2015 and carries a 4.7 out of 5 Trustpilot rating, described as Excellent on its own reviews page, across more than 7,000 reviews. Support is genuinely good, the checkout shows the full price table before you commit, and the attorney consultations on Premium are a real differentiator at this price.
Read the recurring costs before you buy, though. Swyft prices individual documents a la carte where rivals bundle them, and the registered agent is the most expensive on this chart by a wide margin once you annualise it.

Products & Pricing
Swyft Filings sells three packages. Every one includes the state filing, a comprehensive name check, a secure online portal, a free business tax consultation, lifetime customer support and a 100% accuracy guarantee. Speed and documents are what separate them.
| Package | Service fee | Was | Processing | Key additions |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | $0 + state fees | - | 7 to 10 business days | Filing and name check only |
| Standard | $169 + state fees | $199 | 3 business days | Operating agreement, banking essentials, organizational minutes |
| Premium | $269 + state fees | $299 | 1 business day | Same-day option, business address, attorney consultations, compliance monitoring |
All figures read from the Swyft Filings pricing page on 18 August 2026, where Standard and Premium both carried a $30 discount against the listed price.
State filing fees sit on top of every row. They are set by the state, not the provider, and run from $35 in Montana to $500 in Massachusetts. Our guide to registering a business breaks that down.
Basic, $0 plus state fees
The free tier covers formation and nothing else:
- State filing service and comprehensive name check
- Secure online portal with 24/7 access
- Free business tax consultation
- Lifetime customer support
- 7 to 10 business days processing
There is no renewal on Basic, which makes it a legitimate free tier rather than a trial. If you can wait a fortnight and you will source your own operating agreement, this does the job for the state fee alone.
Standard, $169 plus state fees
Everything in Basic, plus:
- 3-business-day processing
- Custom LLC operating agreement
- Custom organizational minutes
- Business Banking Essentials
- One month free of the professional business address
Priced individually from the same page, the operating agreement is $35, organizational minutes $25 and banking essentials $70. That is $130 of add-ons for a $169 step up, so Standard is fair value if you want all three.
Premium, $269 plus state fees
Everything in Standard, plus:
- 1-business-day processing with same-day processing available
- Professional business address, three months free
- Custom digital LLC kit
- Unlimited attorney consultations
- Compliance monitoring through ComplianceGuard
The attorney consultations are the reason to pick Premium. No other service on this chart bundles unlimited attorney access at under $300, and LegalZoom charges $299 for a package where the attorney access expires after 30 days.
In-depth review
Filing speed and what same-day means
Swyft Filings is the fastest service on this chart at the top tier, and the ladder is unusually clear:
- Basic: 7 to 10 business days
- Standard: 3 business days
- Premium: 1 business day, with same-day processing available
Two qualifiers matter. First, same-day processing on Premium is described on the pricing page as an option rather than the default, and it is sold separately at $100 on other packages. Second, and this applies to every provider in this category, these are the times to prepare and submit your paperwork. The Secretary of State then adds its own review, which varies by state and season. A one-day plan does not produce an approved LLC in one day.
Where that speed genuinely pays is a deadline you cannot move: a contract that requires an entity, a bank appointment, a licence application with a cut-off. For anything less urgent, the $269 buys you a fortnight you probably have.
Ease of use
The buying flow is the most transparent of the five services we track, for one specific reason: the full pricing table appears before you commit rather than after. Choose entity type and state from two dropdowns and you see all three packages with prices side by side.
That matters more than it sounds. Services that reveal add-ons at the final step produce a checkout total that bears little relation to the advertised price. Swyft front-loads it.
The incorporation flow runs in five steps: choose your package, contact information, business information, compliance, place order. After payment, the company handles expert review, business name verification, state filing, document approval and compliance follow-up.
Entity types: the widest range on this chart
This is the strongest argument for Swyft Filings, and the reason it belongs on a shortlist even though its recurring costs are high.
Per its about page, read on 18 August 2026, it files:
- LLCs
- S corporations
- C corporations
- Nonprofits
- DBAs
That is five entity types across all 50 states and Washington, D.C. For comparison, ZenBusiness does not form nonprofits, and Tailor Brands files LLCs only, with no corporation, nonprofit or DBA product at all. Only LegalZoom matches the range.
If you expect to file a second entity of a different type, a nonprofit arm alongside a trading company, say, keeping everything with one provider has real administrative value. Our explainer on what a limited liability company is covers which structure suits which situation, and LLC vs S corp covers the tax election most owners consider next.
Registered agent: the quarterly bill
Swyft Filings prices its registered agent service at $149 billed quarterly. Its own registered agent page states that price and supports it with the line "Get a registered agent for less than $50 per month". Annualised, that is roughly $596 a year.
This is the single most important number on the page, and it is widely misreported. Several well-known review sites list "$149 annually" for this service. The provider's own page does not say annually, it says quarterly, and the "less than $50 per month" line confirms which reading is correct.
Set against the rest of the chart:
| Provider | Registered agent, per year |
|---|---|
| Northwest | $125, first year free with a $39 filing |
| ZenBusiness | $199, first year currently $99 |
| Tailor Brands | Not published on the product page |
| LegalZoom | $249 |
| Swyft Filings | About $596, billed $149 quarterly |
What you get for it is a dedicated registered office address in your state of formation, secure document uploads with service of process typically available within two to three hours, and a dashboard holding everything received. The two-to-three-hour SOP turnaround is genuinely fast. It is not $471 a year faster than Northwest.
One further detail: a separate subscription is required for each state, so a business registered in three states pays three times.
Add-on pricing, item by item
Swyft prices individual items where rivals bundle them. Everything below is listed on the pricing page, read on 18 August 2026:
| Add-on | Price |
|---|---|
| Custom LLC operating agreement | $35 |
| Custom organizational minutes | $25 |
| Custom banking resolution | $30 |
| Business Banking Essentials | $70 |
| Custom digital LLC kit | $99 |
| Express processing | $50 |
| Same-day processing | $100 |
| Professional business address and virtual mailbox | $29 a month |
ComplianceGuard, the annual report and compliance service, comes as a trial with Premium and is reported by independent reviews at $199 a year. It renews automatically after the trial unless you cancel, which is the standard pattern in this category and the standard place people get caught. Diarise the trial end date the day you buy.
Three-year cost compared
Formation is a one-off cost. The registered agent is not, and that is what decides the total. Below is the three-year service cost using each provider's published prices, cheapest formation plan plus registered agent, excluding state fees, which are identical whoever files for you.
| Provider | Year 1 | Year 2 | Year 3 | 3-year service fees |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Northwest | $39 filing, agent free | $125 | $125 | $289 |
| ZenBusiness | $0 filing + $99 agent | $199 | $199 | $497 |
| Tailor Brands | $0 filing + $199 agent | $199 | $199 | $597 |
| LegalZoom | $0 filing + $249 agent | $249 | $249 | $747 |
| Swyft Filings | $0 filing + $596 agent | $596 | $596 | $1,788 |
That gap is not a reason to dismiss the service, but it is a reason to split the purchase. Nothing obliges you to buy the registered agent from whoever files the paperwork. File with Swyft Filings for the entity range and the speed, appoint Northwest as registered agent for $125, and the three-year total drops to about $289 plus your formation package. Changing registered agent later is a routine state filing, not a migration.
Our side-by-side comparison puts the packages in one table if you want to check the feature trade before deciding.
Services for non-US founders
Swyft Filings is one of the more practical routes to a US company for founders who live abroad, because it solves the part that usually blocks them: a US address.
The professional business address and virtual mailbox costs $29 a month and provides a physical business address, mail forwarding to any address, and privacy protection that keeps a home address off public records. It comes with one month free on Standard and three months free on Premium.
The address requirement is normally the hardest condition for a non-resident founder to satisfy, harder than the filing itself. Buying it from the same provider that files the paperwork removes a coordination step at exactly the point where a mismatch causes a rejection.
Two things this does not solve. An EIN without a Social Security Number takes considerably longer through any provider, and a US business bank account still generally requires identity verification that varies by bank. Neither is a Swyft Filings limitation; both are worth planning for.
The guarantee and what it covers
Swyft Filings publishes a 100% accuracy guarantee and states plainly: if the company is not formed correctly, it will make it right or refund the fees.
The refund boundary follows the pattern of the category. Independent reviews of the policy describe a 60-day window covering Swyft Filings' own service fees. Government, state and third-party fees are excluded, and refunds attach to service problems rather than to a change of mind after a successful filing.
That places it roughly level with ZenBusiness, which publishes a 60-day money-back guarantee directly, and well ahead of Tailor Brands, which publishes no equivalent guarantee at all. As always in this category, the practical advice is the same: the decision point is submission to the state, not the end of the refund window.
Is Swyft Filings legit?
Yes, and the corporate record is straightforward. Swyft Filings was founded in July 2015 and is headquartered in Houston, Texas. Its about page states that it has formed more than 600,000 businesses across all 50 states and Washington, D.C. Travis Crabtree joined the founding pair early and became the company's public face.
Ownership has changed since. The private equity firm GreyLion acquired the company in December 2021, per financing disclosures from Everberg Capital. The about page now names 360 Legal as the parent, with Jeff Mosler appointed chief executive in June 2025 and Ransom Averitt serving as general manager of Swyft Filings.
Worth knowing when you read the marketing: a private equity owner and a subscription-heavy pricing model tend to pull in the same direction, toward recurring revenue. That is consistent with what we found on the registered agent page, and it is the lens to keep when a trial converts.
The 4.7 Trustpilot rating across more than 7,000 reviews is real. Better still, the company links straight to its Trustpilot profile instead of hosting a curated selection of its own. That is the more honest arrangement.
